The actantial model

Abstract

This article presents a detailed account of the actantial model as suggested by Greimas. The motive in undertaking this initiative is to see how the knowledge gathered from this new advanced model can be used to analyze Northern Sotho drama. The model in question could be considered strange but an attempt will be made to apply it with special reference to Sealogana with the view to test its validity and applicability.
