Abstract

In 1974, P. Hartung proved the existence of infinitely many imaginary quadratic fields with class numbers not divisible by 3. We generalize this result to show the existence of infinitely many imaginary quadratic fields with class numbers not divisible by any integer n > 2. We conclude by providing some interesting applications.
