Abstract

Sesotho (alias Southern Sotho), comparable to other African Languages, is rich in vocabulary relevant to the traditional life and environment of its speakers. However, like many developing countries' languages, it is deficient in technical terms and terms for modern and abstract concepts that continuously flood in as a result of massive cultural change. It is correct to regard Sesotho as a technically developing language because the creation of new terminology is as yet in an infant stage, with a rather limited but developing know-how in the theories of terminology development and documentation.
