Abstract

The morphology of the adult male of Psycharium montanum is described and illustrated to serve as a basis for subsequent taxonomic and systematic studies on African flannel moths and related taxa. P. montanum exhibits features showing closer affinity to Limacodidae than to Megalopygidae.
