Abstract

The effect of soil preparation combined with fertiliser treatment on mortality and early height growth of Pinus radiata was investigated on the Harkerville Plateau in the southern Cape Region of the Cape Province. The effect of soil preparation on mortality and early height growth of Pinus radiata and Pinus pinaster but without the addition of fertiliser was investigated separately.
