Abstract

The focus of this article is nomenclature; more specifically, naming practices in the business world. This includes business names and brand names; the latter also sometimes refers to business names. The term 'nomenclature' dates from the Roman times when the servant who accompanied his owner/boss in order to tell him the names of the people they met along the way was called a 'nomenclator'.
