Abstract

We examine the approximation of linear functionals of the form Ω = ⟨x, g⟩, where x is the solution of the linear operator equation Ax = f, with x,g and f elements of Hilbert Space H and A is an invertible operator on H. We show that the results from the literature all involve the zero order approximation to the inverse operator.
