Abstract

Let X be a completely regular Hausdorff space and C(X) the space of continuous real-valued functions on X. The epi-topology on C(X) is derived from the Fell topology on the hyperspace of the closed subsets of X x ℝ by identifying each element of C(X) with its epigraph.
