It is proposed that the taxa Pachydactylus capensis barnardi FitzSimons and Pachydactylus formosus A. Smith, be treated as sub-species of Pachydactylus rugosus A. Smith and not of Pachydactylus capensis A. Smith and not of Pachydactylus capensis A. Smith
