The story-teller and his characters

Abstract

This article deals with character depiction in Northern-Sotho literature. It is proposed that characters develop initially from stereotypes which have to be individualized by attaching relevant features to each. In Northern Sotho characters are individualized by a direct or indirect way of coupling the topic and the predicate.
