ON QUESTIONS CONCERNING STRONG RADICALS OF ASSOCIATIVE RINGS

Item type: Journal Article • Journal: Quaestiones Mathematicae
Fifteen open questions an strong radicals of associative rings are discussed and a number of related results are surveyed. Some new proofs and new results are given.
  2. ON A NEW PROOF OF DURIER'S THEOREM

ON A NEW PROOF OF DURIER'S THEOREM

Item type: Journal Article • Journal: Quaestiones Mathematicae
A new proof of Durier's Theorem [3] concerning a characterization of Hilbert spaces in terms of the Fermat-Weber location problem will be presented.

  5. LOWER SET-VALUED FUZZY TOPOLOGIES

    LOWER SET-VALUED FUZZY TOPOLOGIES

Item type: Journal Article • Journal: Quaestiones Mathematicae
A construction by the second author of generating fuzzy topologies from a decreasing chain of fuzzy topologies is generalized by considering the lattice of all lower sets of a completely distributive lattice as a range space of a fuzzy topology.
  6. SOME CONSEQUENCES OF THE TARSKI-KANTOROVITCH ORDERING THEOREM IN METRIC FIXED POINT THEORY

SOME CONSEQUENCES OF THE TARSKI-KANTOROVITCH ORDERING THEOREM IN METRIC FIXED POINT THEORY

Item type: Journal Article • Journal: Quaestiones Mathematicae
We show that the Tarski-Kantorovitch Principle for continuous maps on a partially ordered set yields some fixed point theorems for contractive maps on a uniform space. Our proofs do not depend on the Axiom of Choice.
  7. A CONTRIBUTION OF ADAM SULIŃSKI TO RADICAL THEORY

A CONTRIBUTION OF ADAM SULIŃSKI TO RADICAL THEORY

Item type: Journal Article • Journal: Quaestiones Mathematicae
The aim of this paper is to present a contribution of Adam Suliński to radical theory.
  8. THE NIELSEN COINCIDENCE NUMBER OF MAPS INTO TORI

THE NIELSEN COINCIDENCE NUMBER OF MAPS INTO TORI

Item type: Journal Article • Journal: Quaestiones Mathematicae
We give a formula for the Nielsen coincidence number of a pair of maps from a surface into the 2-torus. We also show that a similar formula gives the lower bound of the number of connected components of the coincidence...
