Abstract

The monopole oscillator problem is a subset of the more general system with equation of motion [ruml] + λr -3L + (μr -4 + ω2)r = 0 which possesses sl(2, R) ⊕ so(3) symmetry. All of the first integrals are computed from the symmetry generators.
