FACTORS INFLUENCING VIABLE BACTERIA IN A TURBID MAN-MADE IMPOUNDMENT


Abstract

The numbers of aerobic heterotrophic bacteria in the waters and sediments of the small turbid impoundment, Wuras Dam, are very high (≥100 000 ml −1 and ≥ 1x106 bacteria g−1 respectively).
