Abstract

Iningilothisha lisebenzisa indlela yokufundisa kuxutshwe izilimi (code-switching) ngenhloso yokusiza abafundi abasuke bengaluqondisisi ulimi lwesiNgisi. Nakuba lukhona ucwaningo oselwenziwe mayelana nale ndlela yokufundisa, kodwa akukho okwaziwayo mayelana nokusetshenziswa kwayo kusukwa esiNgisini kuyiwa esiZulwini emakilasini anabafundi abamnyama abakhuluma izilimi ezehlukene, kumbandakanya nalabo abavela emazweni angaphandle kweNingizimu Afrika. Kungaleso sizathu kuleli phepha sihlaziya iqhaza elibanjwa yile ndlela yokuxuba isiZulu nesiNgisi emakilasini anabafundi abamnyama abakhuluma isiZulu, isiXhosa, iSesotho kanye nezinye izilimi zase-Afrika. Inhloso yalolu cwaningo ngukuhlaziya iqhaza elibanjwa yile ndlela yokuxuba isiNgisi nesiZulu emakilasini anabafundi abamnyama abakhuluma isiZulu, isiXhosa, iSesotho kanye nezinye izilimi zase-Afrika. Kulolu cwaningo sisebenzise Injulalwazi yokunqinda izihibe zokungaqondi ezidalwa wulimi ekuxhumaneni (Communication Accommodation Theory). Sikhethe ukucwaninga ngezikole ezintathu zakwaZulu-Natali njengezikole ezimele ezinye eziningi zakulesi sifundazwe ezisezindaweni ezisemaphandleni ezifundisa isiNgisi uLimi lokuQala lokwEngeza nesiZulu uLimi lwaseKhaya. Ulwazi esiluhlaziya kuleli phepha siluqoqe kothisha abalishumi nambili abafundisa isiNgisi uLimi lokwengeza ezikoleni ezintathu zakwaZulu-Natali, esifundeni Ugu. Ulwazi siluqoqe kubabambiqhaza emakilasini befundisa, ngokuxoxisana nababambiqhaza, kuhlelo lokufundisa luka thisha ngamunye nakuNqubomgomo, sabe sesiluhlaziya sisebenzisa injulalwazi Yokuhlaziywa Kokuqukethwe Okungokwengqikithi (Thematic Content Analysis). Imiphumela yocwaningo iveza ukuthi le ndlela ichema nabafundi abaqonda ulimi lwesiZulu iphinde iveze isimomqondo sothisha abangalwamukeli ushintsho oselwenzeke emakilasini, oludalwe ukufuduka kwabafundi besuka ezindaweni ezehlukene, okuyisigaba sesibili sesimo lapho umuntu ezithola edidekile futhi ethukile ngenxa yokuzithola ebhekene nolimi namasiko angakujwayele ngokukaShen noChen (2020). Nokho lusadingeka ucwaningo oluzobheka iqhaza elibanjwa yindlela yokuxuba izilimi kusukwa esiNgisini kuyiwa esiZulwini emakilasini anabafundi abamnyama abakhuluma izilimi ezehlukene abafundiswa ngothisha asebedlule kuzo zozine izigaba zikaShen noChen (2020).
