Abstract

In this article the strategies children use when learning siSwati as their first language are investigated. How this process relates to other language acquisition data, as well as the implications thereof in comparison to claims made by some linguists such as Slobin, McNeill, etc. are discussed. Some questions are raised in connection with these data.
