Abstract

Ukuxananaza kwemo yovangontetho kweelwimi ezilokishini eMzantsi Afrika kunye nobucukubhede malunga neemeko olusetyenziswa phantsi kwazo, kungaba neziphumo ezivuselela umdla omkhulu ukuba oku kunokuphononongwa ngo-kwesithako sikaMyers-Scotton se'markedness model' (ukusetyenziswa kwentetho ethile ngabom). Ngokwesi sithako izithethi ziyaliqonda ixabiso lokusetyenziswa kolwimi oluchanaba okuthile kwimo ethile yentlalo, zaye ziyakwazi nokuty-umba olona lwimi luchanekileyo ukudala unxibelelwano oluphuhlileyo nalowo kuthethwa naye. Ngokwasezidolophini apha eMzantsi Afrika, uvangontetho lweelwimi ezintanganye ngokokusetyenziswa, lusetyenziselwa ikakhulu ukudala ubudlelane, hayi ukucekecana.
